The Ginnes ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains, in plain language, how we handle the personal and health information you give us. We handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

We only collect the information we need to respond to you and to assess whether we can provide support.

Through our enquiry (contact) form, we collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number
• The message and any details you choose to include

Through our referral form, we collect the following about the participant being referred:

• Participant name
• Date of birth
• Residential address
• NDIS number
• Primary diagnosis (health information)
• Funding and plan details

Some of this — such as diagnosis and NDIS details — is sensitive information, including health information, and is given extra protection under the Australian Privacy Principles. Where a referral is submitted by a third party (for example a support coordinator or family member), we rely on that person having the participant's consent to share their information with us.

We collect and use this information for a limited set of purposes:

• To respond to your enquiry and answer your questions
• To assess a referral and decide whether we can provide appropriate support
• To contact you or the referrer to discuss next steps

We do not use your information for unrelated purposes without asking you first.

We do not sell your personal or health information, and we do not share it with anyone outside of what is needed to deliver or arrange your support. Information may be handled by the trusted service providers we use to run our website and receive form submissions, and may be disclosed where we are required or permitted to do so by law. Otherwise, your information stays with us.

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, to request a copy of it, to ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and to ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it.

To make any of these requests, just contact us using the details below. We will confirm your identity and respond within a reasonable time. There is normally no cost to ask for access to your information.
